Hi! I’m Linda Zheng, MA, LPCC
She | Her | Hers
I earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Psychological Science (Clinical-Counseling) from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2022. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC).
Previously, I have provided counseling services to teens, college students, and young adults; worked in individual and group therapy settings; carried out behavioral management care plans; and taught psychoeducational classes.
My favorite part of this work
My favorite part of this work is the therapeutic relationship clients and I develop. I strive to create a trusting, respectful environment where clients can be their authentic selves while engaging in a collaborative therapy process. For me, collaboration means considering and valuing clients’ needs, preferences, identities, and experiences - and tailors therapy to fit each unique individual.
Speaking of my clients
In particular, I specialize in working with individuals, who:
Experience distress due to excessive worrying and overthinking.
Feel stuck in navigating interpersonal relationships.
Are impacted by generational, childhood, and/or interpersonal traumas.
Are adjusting to life transitions.
Have perfectionistic tendencies and are self-critical
I have a special interest in:
Individuals with historically marginalized identity/ identities.
Intersectional identities.
Adult children of immigrant parents.
First-generation high school and/or college students.
Mind-body connections for healing
I am passionate about:
Empowering and guiding clients in recognizing their strengths.
Culturally-responsive practices.
Challenging mental health stigma and improving mental health literacy in disadvantaged communities
Engaging in my own journey of lifelong learning and growth so that I can best support my clients.
“By creating a trusting, respectful environment, clients can be their authentic selves while engaging in a collaborative therapy process.”
On Personal Note
I am a second-generation Chinese American with intersecting identities and experiences that influence my worldviews. I find fulfillment in service as a therapist and embodying my values in both my professional and personal life.
Outside of work, I enjoy drawing, meditation, reading, listening to music and podcasts, being outdoors, and reconnecting with my heritage through food.
