Taking Care of Yourself & Showing Up in Uncertain Times
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, you’re not alone.
When the world feels shaky, it’s easy to freeze up or spiral. But you have more power than it might seem—both in taking care of yourself and in showing up for others. At our practice, we believe in collective care, empowerment, and decolonized healing—because healing isn’t just personal, it’s about community and liberation too.
1. Take Care of Your Body & Mind
Breathe—slow, deep, intentional.
Move—walk, stretch, shake it out.
Stay connected—don’t go through this alone.
2. Stay Informed, But Protect Your Peace
Check reliable sources—misinformation spreads fast.
Set limits—doomscrolling won’t fix anything.
Take breaks—your nervous system needs rest.
3. Find Your Role
Speak up—share truth, push back on lies.
Get involved—protests, organizing, mutual aid—it all matters.
Support others—if you have resources, share them.
4. Be Ready
Have key contacts & essentials on hand.
Know your rights & stay safe.
Use secure communication if needed.
5. Decolonize Your Healing
Rest is resistance—burnout helps no one.
Joy is necessary—find what fuels you.
We’re in this together—community is strength.
Find your center and radiate outwards.
This moment is hard, but you’re not powerless. Keep caring for yourself, keep showing up, and remember—you’re not alone in this.
